A simulator to study movement, speed and acceleration.

Ladybug Motion 2D is a scientific simulator that helps you do representational movement experiments. That way you can learn about speed, acceleration and how the start position of the object influences movement.

Ladybug Motion 2D features a ladybird which you place in different positions and make move in different ways (lines, circles, elipses, etc). You can change the speed of the simulator at all times. You can then trace the route, and see what part is movement by the insect, what is inertia and what is slowing down.

For Ladybug Motion 2D to work correctly you need to install Sun Java 1.5 or Java Virtual Machine. It is also totally free.
